Girls-Only Time

For those in the know, we’ve been looking into moving much closer to the hall and have been updating and renovating our current home in preparation for a sale.  We’ve started putting feelers out in the local area but to date, haven’t had all that much luck in finding that forever home which might make using the hall commercially, feasible.  We have put a few letters through the letterboxes of the local area to see if anyone has heard of any properties which might be coming on the market soon or anyone who might be thinking of moving who wouldn’t mind us coming to take a look but as yet, the phone has remained silent, so we’re back to refreshing Rightmove app a few times a day.

As you can imagine, that gets pretty tedious after a while and so, Rachel and Emily have decided to go and get some girlie together time at the hall before things get too hectic at home.  After a quick clean up of the place, they make sure the resident spiders are disabused of the idea that they own the place and before long, the boots are on, lunch is prepared and they settle in for a bit of bonding time.

Keasden is a lovely spot for walking so once they’re sufficiently refuelled, the boots go on and they are out rambling over fields, giving the local livestock a respectable amount of distance as they pass, and climbing over walls and gates before eventually getting back to stick the log burner on.  The scene looks lovely everywhere they go but the temperature hasn’t quite risen enough to make the trip without wrapping up and a warm, cosy afternoon in front of a log burner is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Back at home, I’m cleaning, painting and repairing so I definitely feel like they had the better idea this weekend but family time is exactly what we wanted when we got the hall and started our renovation journey, so although I’m out of the loop on this occasion, it’s lovely to see smiling faces when they video call later on.
